Totals for Day: 3 miles (4.8 km)
St George's Square (Stamford)
St George's Square in Stamford town centre is the setting for Pride and Prejudice's Meryton village and the Milliner's shop. It took 6 weeks to transform St George's Square and the Arts Centre into the village. You can take a walking tour around Stamford and visit the locations used in the movie.
Burghley House (Stamford)
Southeast of Stamford lies Burghley House. It's one of the grandest houses of the Elizabethan Age, and is the setting for Lady Catherine De Bourgh's home Rosings in the film. It also played a starring role in the blockbuster movie The Da Vinci Code. In the summer months, you can tour the house and see the rooms used in the movie.
The George Hotel (Stamford)
End your day with a relaxing stay at The George Hotel. The George is said to be one of England's greatest coaching inns. It's here the film's stars, Keira Knightly, Matthew MacFayden, Judi Dench and Donald Sutherland, stayed while filming Pride and Prejudice.
