Start your day with some animal adventure. Knowsley Safari Park is directed by the 19th Earl of Derby, and has around 30 species of mammal roaming 200 hectares of land, as well as a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Drive around to see tigers, lions, zebras, camels and much more, including the Monkey Jungle. There's also a sea lion show which children love.
Liverpool Planetarium
Next, visit the Liverpool Planetarium at the World Museum Liverpool. At Britain's only free planetarium you can blast off on a spectacular journey through space and time, learning about the Universe around you on the way. There are daily public shows, including 'A Tale of Two Planets', 'Wonders of the Solar System' and 'Sunshine'.
Liverpool Football Club
Take your family to Anfield to see the Liverpool Football Club. The LFC Museum & Tour Centre celebrates all things Liverpool, past & present. Great displays tell the story of England's most successful football club, including a recreation of the standing Kop, and a cinema showing 10-minute films about the glory years. The stadium tour takes you to the player's dressing room, down the tunnel to the sound of the crowd, and you can even touch the famous 'This Is Anfield' sign.
The Olive Press
In the evening, take your family to the Olive Press Pizzeria Bar & Grill, the perfect place for a family meal. Everyone can relax in the rustic, cosy surroundings and enjoy the delicious meals prepared with the freshest ingredients. The 'Little Olives' menu offers children's and toddler's portions, and your children will love making their own pizzas. A donation of 25p from every child's meal sold is made to children's charity Childline.
