London Fashion Week
London is where fashion ideas start, where creative talents bloom and where flourishing businesses are born. The capital celebrates fashion both on and off the catwalk in the city’s renowned restaurants, bars and clubs and of course on the street. If you visit during
London Fashion Week (www.londonfashionweek.co.uk) you’ll sense that the whole city is buzzing with excitement and anticipation.
What is London Fashion Week?
Every year, in February and September, the capital plays host to over 50 trend-setting designers on the catwalk, and many, many more at the exhibition. These talents are housed in specially constructed tents at the Natural History Museum (www.nhm.ac.uk/) and at other inspiring venues across London. Here designers unveil their collections to a professional audience of press and buyers who visit the capital from other parts of Britain and cities across the globe.
What is in the exhibition?
The exhibition at London Fashion Week, in an elegant easy-to-navigate tent at the Natural History Museum, houses static displays from a whole range of designers of everything from ready-to-wear to jewellery and accessories. Here buyers sign up their budgets on the new season's looks that will fly out of the shops and into the wardrobes of style leaders worldwide.
