Wickham Vineyards
Wickham Vineyard was planted in 1984 and has grown steadily in size and reputation since then to become one of the leading English vineyards. They make a full range of wines including a full-bodied red, several dry whites – one of which is supplied to the House of Commons as their own label wine – a Rosé and a sweeter style medium white.
The wines are stocked in major supermarkets in the region and the vineyard also supplies many local hotels and restaurants. In 2001 the vineyard established a fine dining restaurant in a beautiful location overlooking the vines, with a Head Chef trained by Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quatres Saisons. In 2002 they were awarded Les Routiers Restaurant of the Year for the UK.
The vineyard is open to the public daily for audio tours and tastings. The restaurant opens for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday. Visitors are also invited to visit the nature reserve with wetland and attractive boardwalk around a carp lake.
