You should be able to use your 110 volts laptop or computer in Britain without any problems as nowadays most run on both 110 volts (as found in North America), and on 220 volts (as found in Europe). Although the voltage is universal, you will still need an adapter to plug your computer into an electrical outlet.
Email & the internet
The internet is widely available in Britain and you can often log on from your hotel, which may have connection in the rooms or a computer suite offering access to guests. Alternatively, you can use one of the many excellent internet cafés in Britain. You will find them everywhere, simply ask your accommodation provider for the nearest. Most have excellent rates and connection speeds. Prices are usually around £1 an hour.
